Social Scraping API · Limited access
Public social data.
One integration.
Request supported profiles, posts and videos from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X and Reddit through a single API. Access and account limits are confirmed individually.
Limited access, enabled per account. Public pricing and self-serve credit purchases have not launched.
curl --get \
'https://scraper.io/api/v1/scrape/tiktok/profile' \
--data-urlencode 'handle=tiktok' \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SCRAPER_SOCIAL_API_KEY"12 supported GET endpoints. Requires enabled Social API access and a separate social key. This example does not run automatically.
Choose a supported request
Use a profile handle, public post URL or another identifier accepted by the endpoint. The API covers the specific routes listed below.
Use a separate social key
Once your account has access, create a Social API key in the dashboard. Dataset download keys and Social API keys have different permissions.
Receive platform JSON
Responses preserve platform-specific fields. Availability, pagination and freshness vary by source; a uniform cross-platform schema is not promised.
Endpoint reference
Five platforms. 12 supported requests.
All routes below use GET https://scraper.io/api/v1/scrape/. Authenticate with Authorization: Bearer and a key with the scrape:read permission.
| Platform / route | Required query parameters | Optional query parameters |
|---|---|---|
TikTok/tiktok/profile | Exactly one of: handle, user_id | cache_max_age |
TikTok/tiktok/videos | handle | user_id, sort_by, max_cursor, region, trim |
TikTok/tiktok/video | url | region, trim, cache_max_age |
Instagram/instagram/profile | handle | trim, cache_max_age |
Instagram/instagram/posts | handle | next_max_id, trim |
Instagram/instagram/post | url | region, trim, include_play_count, cache_max_age |
YouTube/youtube/channel | Exactly one of: handle, channelId, url | cache_max_age |
YouTube/youtube/video | url | language, cache_max_age |
X / Twitter/twitter/profile | handle | cache_max_age |
X / Twitter/twitter/posts | handle | trim |
Reddit/reddit/posts | subreddit | timeframe, sort, after, trim, cache_max_age |
Reddit/reddit/post | url | None |
URL parameters must be HTTPS URLs on the relevant supported platform. Provide each parameter only once. The X / Twitter posts endpoint returns a source-selected set of popular posts, not a chronological feed.
Good to know
Clear before you start.
How do I get access?
Book a call to discuss your platforms, use case and expected request volume. We confirm service availability and enable access individually. An API key alone does not grant access; your account must also have an active Social API allowance.
Can I use my existing Dataset API key?
No. Dataset keys read purchased orders and delivered files. Social API requests need a separately created scrape:read key, available in the dashboard after Social API access is enabled. Each key has one permission.
What are the limits and prices?
Enabled accounts have a daily allowance, request rate and access expiry shown in the dashboard. Limits are confirmed individually. Public pricing, self-serve subscriptions and credit purchases have not launched; an allowance is not a quoted price or a free-credit offer.
Can I scrape any website or define a custom schema?
This integration supports the twelve social-platform endpoints listed above. It does not accept arbitrary websites or a custom extraction schema. For a custom file from another public source, use the dataset request flow.
How should I handle failures and retries?
Handle missing, restricted and unavailable sources explicitly. Respect Retry-After where returned, and avoid blind retries: each admitted attempt reserves allowance, including a request that later fails or times out.
Is this a live monitoring feed?
No. These are individual API requests. Response freshness and cache behavior depend on the platform and endpoint. Scheduled monitoring is a separate product preview.
