Quickstart
From your dashboard to your script.
Use the REST API from a backend service, a scheduled script or a data pipeline.
- 01
Create a key
Open API keys in your dashboard, give the key a name, choose its expiry and copy it when shown. Store it as a server-side environment variable named
SCRAPER_API_KEY.One key for your paid ordersKeep the key private. Use it from your server or script, and revoke it in the dashboard whenever you need to.

Good to know
Clear before you start.
What does this API include?
Read-only access to your paid orders, order status and delivered dataset files. The key is tied to the verified email you use in the buyer dashboard.
Can I start a new scraping job through this API?
New jobs start in the Scraper.io request flow, where you review a sample, scope and fixed quote before payment. This version of the API provides access to those orders and their delivered files.
Do API keys cost extra?
There is no separate API subscription for accessing your existing paid orders and delivered files. Creating a key does not buy a dataset or start a charge. New datasets are priced individually before checkout.
Can I use a key in a browser or mobile app?
Keep keys on a server you control. Browser and mobile application code can expose embedded keys. Your backend can use the API and return only the data your application needs.
Are there request limits or key expiry dates?
API access allows 60 requests per minute across your buyer account. Keys can expire after 30, 90 or 365 days. If you receive a 429 response, wait before retrying; if a key expires, create a replacement in the dashboard.
How do I stop access?
Revoke the key in your dashboard. Create a separate key for each integration so you can replace one without changing all your scripts.
